White is the new black

Admittedly, I was hesitant to follow the white shoe fashion trend. Mainly because growing up my mom would make me wear puffy dresses, white shoes and ruffled socks every Sunday to church. Once I was a pre-teen I was elated to never wear white shoes again – well I thought wrong. Now I’m obsessed with pairing every outfit with a hint of white. Not only is it super chic but it lets your shoe standout as a statement piece.

They can be styled with boyfriend jeans, wide leg pants or a midi dress. In the past white shoes were a thing of the summer. But unless you’ve been living under a rock – you know its a street style trend worth trying all year round.

Weekend Warrior

As a working professional in corporate America, I try to get as much things done as possible on the weekends. I like to wake up early organize, run errands and squeeze in a yoga class. In my opinion it’s imperative to have interest and hobbies outside of work. Find your passion, serve others by volunteering in the community or become a mentor. A lot of people quit their full time job to follow their “dreams” because of lack of fulfillment or happiness. And thats totally fine (and brave).

Essentially no job or career will bring you pure hapiness. At some point you may experience stress. But, its your responsibility to DECIDE to be happy. Create a work – life balance that fits you best.
